HK UBOE USBIMAGE TECH LIMITED (“UBOE”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Hong Kong, China, operates usbimage.com and manufactures digital microscopy and diagnostic imaging products.

We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you are in the EU/UK or a US state with privacy legislation and wish to exercise a right, writing to the postal address or privacy email above is enough — you do not need any special form.

2. What we collect

• Enquiry information — when you submit a form, we receive the details you enter: name, business email, company, country, product interest, quantity and your message. You choose what to share; only name, email and message are required.
• Technical logs — our hosting (Cloudflare) records standard request data such as IP address, user agent and requested pages for security and abuse prevention.
• Email correspondence — if you email us, we keep the thread so context survives between team members.

We do not collect payment information on this website, and we do not use advertising trackers or sell data to third parties.

3. Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare quotes (this is the whole point of the forms);
• To maintain a business relationship you have initiated — follow-ups on your project, warranty and order matters;
• To keep the website secure and detect abuse.

Our legal basis, in GDPR terms, is performance of pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in operating a secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Who sees your data

Only people who need it to answer you: our sales and engineering staff. Processors we rely on are limited to infrastructure — website hosting and security (Cloudflare) and, where used, an email delivery service for enquiry notifications. These providers act on our instructions and do not use your data for their own purposes. We do not disclose your information to anyone else unless legally required.

5. How long we keep it

Enquiry records are retained for up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted — unless a contract, order or legal obligation requires us to keep specific records longer (for example, warranty and export documentation).

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA under GDPR and California under CCPA), you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Ask us to correct or delete it;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Withdraw consent for future contact at any time.

Email privacy@usbimage.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will never make you jump through hoops to exercise these rights.

7. Cookies

This website uses no marketing or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly functional cookies for security (for example, bot protection) — these cannot track you across other sites. No cookie banner is required for strictly functional cookies, and we prefer it that way.

8. Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Enquiry data is stored in access-controlled infrastructure, and custom software projects are handled under NDA on request. No internet-facing system can promise perfect security, but we apply the same engineering discipline to your data that we apply to our products.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date above. Material changes affecting active projects will be communicated directly.
